Why Do I Have To Verify My Address?
I've been getting this question enough that I wanted to write a quick note about it.
When you order through Paypal, your address can be listed as confirmed or unconfirmed. Basically there is some verification that Paypal can do to make sure you live where you say you do. You can see your address status in the Street Address section of your Paypal Profile. You can read about address verification here: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/pop/confirmed_address
If you provide a confimed address, I ship your kendama quickly and you usualy have it in 2 -4 days.
The story is different for unconfrimed addresses. In order to ensure that I am shipping to the right place, I send an email requesting that you verify your address. If I don't receive a reply within abouta week, I typically refund the order.
So the question is, why? Basically it's a way to make sure you get what you paid for with no disputes. If the address you wanted it sent to was wrong and I sent it anyway the wrong person may get it. Now they may be honest and reject delivery or send it back, but what would you do if you got a free kendama in the mail? What if someone used your Paypal account to send themselves a kendama? Confirming your address adds a layer of saftey to the order.
So there are a couple things you can do to get your order faster.
- Confirm your address. I don't know the steps, but I send confirmed address orders almost as soon as I get them.
- If your address is not confirmed, watch for the mail asking you to confrim it. I typically send this email the night the orderis placed. It always goes to the email address of the Paypal account. If that's not an account you check very often you may miss the mail.
- If you haven't heard anything from me, let us know. Either as a post on the site or email info@kendamaspot.com.
Hope that helps. I know it's a bit frustrating when you don't get your kendama immediately. They are hard to wait for. I'm a wreck when I know that an order from my supplier is on the way!
