Low Stock... Thank You!

written by Kendamaspot on Monday, July 14 2008

Thanks to all of you for your support.  I have been getting a lot of orders and am currently very low on stock.  I'm very sorry about that and am working to get more kendama as soon as possible.

I started this site because I couldn't find information about kendama.  I also couldn't find good quality kendama in the US at reasonable prices.  I placed a large order from Japan for some friends, had a few left over, and put them on the site.  Since then I have gone to juggling festivals, anime conventions, and Japanese festivals and met lots of people who like to play with this amazing skill toy.  I've had to learn about international shipping (both sending and receiving), accounting, sales tax, and web site design and management.  I didn't start out to be a toy retailer, but have become one thanks to all of you.

I have some plans for the site, but never have enough time to put them in motion.  I do hope to get some videos of some of the basics up on the site soon.

Thanks again for all of the support.  I never expected this for this to grow this much this fast.

Have you ever considered calling for a volunteer staff? I'd easily help you out with web design, just keeping the news updated, or even acting as a secondary shipping center or whatever just so this site can continue providing kendamas at a good price to the States. There is only one other site i know of that distributes kendamas here, and they have a very limited store; the only other way it to order them is from a European run site and you'll have pay $40 for shipping.

Is there only one person behind this site? Because i would be willing to help out any way i could (I have enough free time to provide quite a bit, i think) free of charge.
